Catch22 is expanding its Missing from Home and Care and Child Sexual Exploitation Service delivery in Pan Cheshire; this is in Partnership with Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington and working with Cheshire Constabulary. There is currently vacancies within this expanding service. This recruitment process may be used to recruit to other Missing and CSE contracts within the Northwest region if vacancies come available within the near future.
Child Sexual Exploitation Caseworker
(North West Region)
Salary from GBP 19334.98 to GBP 24168.22
As a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) caseworker you will work in one of the Local Authority areas currently delivering Child Sexual Exploitation Service. The CSE Case Worker will work along side Catch22's 'Missing' Caseworkers. The CSE case worker will offer direct support young people who have been identified at risk or are confirmed victims of CSE. There will also be a role to support other professionals in delivering this work. The role will require direct specialist knowledge of the risk factors that lead to CSE and how to address them, the ability to engage with vulnerable young people on a one to one basis within a case management model, and an ability to work in an integrated way with key stakeholders involved in the CSE agenda. A considerable element of this role will involve delivering service briefings and awareness raising sessions to professionals and young people. As a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) caseworker you will
* To undertake one to one work with children and young people vulnerable to CSE.
* Work in partnership with Children's Social Care to facilitate support where CSE is highlighted as a risk.
* Work with Stakeholders to contribute towards the collation of soft intelligence / information on CSE issues / trends.
* Offer Educational Awareness Raising within local authority Inc. placement providers, education, parents and young people and to co facilitate CSE Awareness Training in partnership with LSCB.
* Plan and deliver support interventions in accordance with Catch22 policies and procedures and local authority guidance.
* Develop and sustain productive working relationships with referring agencies to ensure the regular and appropriate referrals are received.
As a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) caseworker you will need:
* Experience of working directly with young people on level 2- 4 on the continuum of need presenting a variety of support needs
* Experience of working with children or young people at risk or victims of CSE
* Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating support activities for and with young people and their carers
* Experience and understanding of case management including assessment, action planning and reviews.
* Experience of Health and Safety and risk management procedures.
* Experience of working in partnership with a variety of agencies to achieve agreed outcomes.
* Experience and understanding of Child Protection including Safeguarding processes and procedures.
* A willingness to travel when required and to work some evenings and weekends

Missing From Home Caseworkers

As a Missing from Home Case Worker you will be based within one of the Local Authorities that has a Missing from Home Service commissioned to Catch22 within the Northwest Region. The vacancies will be discussed at interview. Your role will be to complete Return Interviews and offer Direct work to young people that have experienced Missing Incidents. You will be part of a dynamic team of Missing from Home Case Workers and Child Sexual Exploitation Case Workers that cover all the Local Authorities within that area.
As a Missing from Home (MFH) caseworker you will:
Locate and engage YP who have been reported Missing from Home and conduct return interview with them within specified timescales. This is once the young person has been confirmed safe and well following the incident.
Within the Return Interview to identify "Push and Pull" factors that have attributed to the Missing Incident and work with the young person and or other services to prevent future missing incidents. All relevant information will be shared with Children's Social Care and Police.
Manage a caseload undertaking assessments of young peoples needs, including CAF as appropriate, and gathering all necessary information to develop intervention plans, vulnerability plans, within set timescales.
Plan and deliver interventions in accordance with Catch22 policies and procedures and local authority guidance, to ensure effective use of resources and targets are achieved.
Develop and sustain productive working relationships with referring agencies to ensure the regular and appropriate referrals are received.
Develop materials and deliver activities to raise awareness of the risks of running away to individuals and groups of young people.
As Missing From Home (MFH) caseworker you will need:
Experience of working directly with young people on level 2- 4 on the continuum of need presenting a variety of support needs
Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating case work/interventions to young people and their carers
Experience and understanding of case management including assessment, action planning and reviews.
Experience of working in partnership with a variety of agencies to achieve agreed outcomes.
Experience and understanding of Child Protection including Safeguarding processes and procedures.
A willingness to travel when required and to work some evenings and weekends
