Counsellor (Community/Schools Based ) - Wandsworth
Job description
We are looking for two Community and Schools Based Counsellors to provide structured counselling services across Wandsworth. As a Counsellor, you will be working with a number of partnership agencies, offering counselling services via schools and community venues.
Our Young People's Health (YPH) service is for young people aged 11 to 18 years. We aim to
provide structured psychological interventions to young people who are using drugs and/or alcohol in order to manager their difficulties, as well as to support young people who are suffering from emotional difficulties below the CAMHS threshold.
We want to enable our young people to make informed choices and to help them move towards a better emotional health, as well as enabling them to engage with life in a more positive manner. By offering a safe and non-judgmental arena, young people are able to explore, share and work on their worries and concerns with a professional therapist, and be better placed to move into improved psychological health. For more information on our service,
